MUN Captain Sophie Donnellan and SIAS President Lindsey McKhann in the Thuringian State Parliament

Out of 400 delegates coming from 12 countries and 45 universities at the 2023 National Model UN Conference in Erfurt, Germany, our Stanford delegation was honored as an Outstanding Delegation, the highest award given to any delegation at NMUN conferences. We represented the Republic of Korea and Canada in the UNEA and General Assembly and fiercely debated about multilateral approaches to climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution and science, technology, and innovation for sustainable development. We attendeed committee in the chambers of the Thuringian Parliament and Erfurt City Hall, celebrated Thanksgiving with our German hosts, and made many new friends.
