Stanford Model United Nations Conference
What is SMUNC?
Stanford’s high school MUN conference brings hundreds of students to Stanford’s campus every November for a weekend of debate and diplomacy.
Get Involved
SMUNC is an excellent opportunity for Stanford students to get involved in SIAS and Model UN. All students are welcome to apply to staff SMUNC as a chair, co-chair, or crisis staffer, regardless of previous Model UN experience. The link to apply will be available shortly.

Darrius Tan
SECRETARY GENERAL
Hey everyone! I'm Darrius, and I'm a sophomore majoring in International Relations and Economics. I'm grateful to be working with a dependable and passionate team at Stanford Model UN Conference (SMUNC) this year! I've also been a Model UN Board Fellow and I enjoy going to Programming Events. I'm excited about making SMUNC a smashing success for our delegates and a worthwhile experience for our staff. I also like to run, gym and spend time with family and friends :))

Kyle Hon Chan
DIRECTOR GENERAL
Hey everyone, I'm Kyle! I'm a sophomore studying international relations and data science, and I'm so excited to return to SIAS programming and organize SMUNC as Director-General. I truly believe in the value of food bringing people and cultures together, so I'm pumped to continue our Global Gastronomists series to hear from professors studying different countries and try their national dishes too! In my free time, I love making boba runs to keep our event-goers hydrated.

Alejandra Rincón
UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF CRISIS COMMITTEES
Hi! I’m Alejandra Rincón, and I’m a sophomore studying International Relations and minoring in German. Last year, I was a Specialized Committee Chair for SMUNC, and this year I’m excited to serve as SMUNC’s Undersecretary General of Crisis Committees and as a Marketing Liaison! This year, I’m looking forward to connecting with students to make international affairs more accessible to the community. In my down time, I love to make art and read.
