Stanford Model United Nations Travel Team
What is the Stanford Model United Nations Travel Team?
As Stanford’s competitive MUN travel team, we compete at conferences around the world on the collegiate Model UN circuit. At conferences, we simulate serious UN sessions and absurd crisis committees that require diplomacy skills and knowledge of international policy. All conference costs are covered by the organization.
Get Involved
Students interested in joining the Model UN Team should attend our weekly practices held in the Haas DK Room at 5:00 PM on Sundays. All students are welcome to attend, regardless of experience level. Attendance at individual conferences is determined by application.

Jorge Ramos
CO-CAPTAIN
Name is Jorge J. Ramos, class of 28. I’m considering being a nonchalant philosophy major or perhaps an indie design major. Main role is SecGen of SUMUN alongside Mun Co Captain with the great Adam Tarr. Competed on the mun travel team (and still do). I love going to concerts, making spotify playlists, reading/writing, and spontaneous side quests

Dawson Brej
VICE CAPTAIN
Dawson is a sophomore at Stanford interested in Technology and Engineering. He is very excited to be serving as Vice Captain for the Model UN team, and as Director of Media for SMUNC XXIX. Outside of SIAS, Dawson is passionate about environmental conservation, particularly involving marine biology. In their free time, Dawson loves to create artwork, engage in lively conversations with friends, and volunteer with environmental and social justice organizations.

Edison Dao
Vice Captain
My name is Edison Dao, a second-year at Stanford. I'm pursuing a major in Biomechanical Engineering with pre-med requirements. During my first year at Stanford I volunteered across multiple on-campus MUN events, largely for Crisis Committees! I hope that in this year as an official Vice Captain I will be able to participate in more committees as a delegate and continue meeting new and old fellow aspire-rs of geopolitics, history, political science, debate, rhetorical thinking, psychology, and myriads of public policies!
When I find moments whereupon I may lazily go about the day, I find reading and drinking tea a great delight ("The Little Prince" is my favourite book thus far). The days I am emboldened I slowly work through my fictional writing projects (and one major non-fictional anthology). I like to play chess as well and am always willing to play a game of badminton too! Also,I shall advertise one of my favourite singers: George Burns.
(Now that you've read my bio, you're contracted by imaginary fetters to say "hi!" shouldst we ever meet!)
Thank You for Reading This,
Edison Dao
